Feb 2022 visible planets in depth

Jupiter, the 2nd-brightest planet, is the simply visible evening planet in early February. You'll find it in the sunset direction, still shining brightly although now very virtually the dusk glare. Mercury makes a brief appearance for Northern Hemisphere skywatchers, depression in the due east before sunrise, beginning in the second week of Feb.
